We are hosting a special pickleball session next month for an adventurous group of women.
All the players are members of Love Her Wild, a UK-based non-profit women’s adventure community and while their activities usually take place in the great outdoors, this time they are heading inside!
Pickleball is a fast-emerging racquet/paddle sport that combines elements of tennis, badminton, and ping-pong.
It is played on a badminton-sized court with a slightly modified tennis net, where players use paddles to hit a plastic ball between them. It can be played as both singles and doubles.
The two-hour session on Sunday, February 4th, starts at 12noon and will be guided by our Sports Administrator, Jo Fishwick, who is a keen pickleball player herself.
The visit of the Love Her Wild pickleballers follows the sport’s English national finals that we were proud to host late last year.
If you are interested in playing pickleball, we hold weekly sessions here at the Bolton Arena Sports Village every Friday 10am-11am.
