Mercedes –  Gymnastics Head Coach

Mercedes started her Gymnastics career at Rochdale Olympic Gymnastics Club as an elite Gymnast, training with the England squad.

She began coaching at the age of 15 and has worked with both elite and recreational clubs, holding a Level 2 qualification in Women’s Artistic Gymnastics.

Mercedes aims to help every child reach their full potential whilst at Bolton Arena Gymnastics Club.

Dianne – Gymnastics Coach

Dianne is the lead coach on our Pre School Gymnastics programme working with the under 5s as well as coaching the older gymnasts.

Keeping children safe in sport is a major part of Dianne’s role and for the last 10 years she has been the welfare officer for the Gymnasts at Bolton Arena, under the governing body of British Gymnastics.

Her philosophy is that all children no matter what age or ability should be able to participate in sport in a fun safe and inclusive environment.

Qualifications: Level 2 Women’s Artistic Gymnastics, Level 2 Pre School Gymnastics

Madalina – Gymnastics Coach

Madalina began her career in Gymnastics in Romania, where she trained for over in 2 years.

After moving to England in 2017, Madalina began as a volunteer at Bolton Arena.

Since then, Madalina has become a qualified Level 1 General Gymnastics coach.

Qualifications: Level 1 General Gymnastics

Izzy – Gymnastics Coach

Izzy is another coach who’s journey at Bolton Arena Sports Village began as a gymnast from a young age, representing the Arena in team Gymnastics competitions and GymFusion competitions.

She completed her proficiency award and has been volunteering since the age of 14.

Izzy has recently qualified as a Level 1 Gymnastics coach and works with children aged 4-6.

Qualifications: Level 1 General Gymnastics

Summer – Gymnastics Coach

Summer’s background is predominantly in cheerleading, in which she participated for almost 10 years.

Towards the end of her Cheerleading career, Summer progressed into Gymnastics coaching and passed her Level 1 General Gymnastics qualification at the age of 18.

Summer enjoys coaching Gymnastics due to its disciplined nature.
