Community Active Day 2023

Bolton Arena Sports Village would like to thank the local community for attending Sunday’s free Community Active Day.

We were delighted with the attendance for people using our gym, tennis, football and gymnastics facilities, as well everyone who painted our outdoor track the colours of the rainbow in our 3km Colour Fun Run, supporting local charity, Urban Outreach Bolton.  £500 was raised for the charity, who aims to provide for disadvantaged and under-privileged children in the local area.

Families and children from across Bolton came together to run , walk and have some fun throwing paint whilst getting some exercise.

“It was fantastic to see so many people coming together and enjoying themselves and trying out something new. The colour run was fully booked and we plan to increase numbers next year and grow the activities even more. We remain passionate and committed to our mission of building an active healthy community, and want everyone to have the chance to use Bolton Arena.“

As well as free activities for adults and children to partake in, a range of local businesses also showcased their services in our main reception area.
