Mental Health Awareness Week 2022

Ahead of Mental Health Awareness Week 2022, Bolton Arena are taking advantage of our resources by providing a number of options for non-members as well as gym members to try and improve their mental health through the medium of physical activity.

Approximately 80% of people claim that physical exercise boosts confidence and self esteem, with daily physical activity reducing the risk of dementia and depression by up to 30%.

From Monday 9th - Sunday 15th May, non-members of Bolton Arena Gym are permitted to use the gym and outdoor running track between the hours of 09:00 - 12:00 & 14:00 - 16:00 on weekdays, with unlimited access during the weekend.

Free studio class attendance is also being offered to non-members of Bolton Arena Gym, throughout the week. Class bookings can be made by calling the Memberships Team on 01204 488104.

Matt Potts, Gym Manager of Bolton Arena, said "Mental health is so important, and as a facility with such accessibility for all people, we want to do our best to try and help those who may be struggling, through the means of physical activity".

Matt is leading a health walk on Wednesday 11th May. Meeting at Bolton Arena main reception at 09:50, this low level short walk is open to everyone, with a view to this becoming a regular occurrence. To register your attendance or to find out more information call Memberships on 01204 488104.
