About our Beginner & Intermediate sessions
Children and teens aged 4 to 16 years
Overview
The gymnastic syllabus focuses on the gymnastic skills for the floor, bars, beam and vault apparatus. Children also work on their balance, strength, flexibility and co-ordination.
What to expect
Our classes start with a pulse-raising activity or game, followed by a full body stretch from head to toe. The gymnasts are then split into groups and will focus on two pieces of apparatus for the session. The gymnasts will rotate from floor and vault one week to bars and beam the following week.
Each session will finish 5 minutes early to allow time for the coaches to hand out their star of the week certificates. These will be handed to one gymnast per group.

For most gymnastic levels, 4 blocks of classes run throughout the year. The number of weeks in each block will range from 14-17, with a short block over the summer period. There will be a week off at the end of Summer and over Christmas. Once you enrol on a block of classes you will then be notified of re-enrolment 4 weeks prior to the next block commencing.
You will have 2 weeks to make payment to secure your child’s place, before the place is offered to the waiting list.
