At Bolton Arena Community Sports Village we seek to ensure our digital presence and centre facilities are accessible to all.

 

 

Building Accessibility

  • ‘Step free’ entrance with automatic doors.
  • Designated disabled parking bays.
  • All floors and facilities are accessible via lifts.
  • All floor coverings are non-slip.
  • We offer an extensive adapted sports programme with free passes to carers and assistants.
  • Low level reception desks.
  • Hearing loops available at reception, and in our conference room facilities upon request.
  • Clear signage for easy navigation.
  • Gender-neutral toilets.
  • Members of our gym, reception and senior management teams have had training in British Sign Language, to help facilitate any deaf or hard of hearing individuals. (Read more here).

 

Changing Facilities

All our changing rooms and toilets are full accessible with large changing areas, grab rails and showering facilities. All facilities are accessible via lifts.

 

Gym Accessibility

  • Wheelchair accessible equipment including a range of free weights, resistance machines, cable machines and an arm bike with ramp.
  • Easy to understand instructions which feature text, illustrations and some equipment video tutorials.
  • Easy to access selector pins.
  • Equipment have large console keys and high contrast displays.
  • Easily adjustable equipment.
  • Emergency stop cords providing a safe and fast method to stop our treadmills, belt logos on treadmills to identify if the belt is running or not.
  • Cross trainers with multiple locking pedal positions.

 

Accessibility of third-party Bolton Arena App (Innovatise)

The statement refers to the Android and iOS versions of the application.

The mobile application is developed by a third-party, Innovatise LTD. The mobile application is compatible with assistive technologies and developed to meet the accessibility standards outlined in this statement and we are working with the developer towards further improvements.
