USN Bolton Arena Enters Into A New Partnership With The Energy Check

USN Bolton Arena is pleased to announce a new partnership with The Energy Check, who have signed a deal to become the Arena’s official energy partner.

The independent consultancy firm, which provides expert analysis on utility service and supply, will assist the Arena in becoming more energy efficient, and will serve as an effective way of saving money by lowering energy costs, a benefit which will also extend to our gym members.

John Ashley Head of Commercial, USN Bolton Arena commented, “We will be running some initiatives for our new and existing gym members over the coming months so please keep an eye out and make sure to utilise the Home Energy Switching site at www.theenergycheck.co.uk

“We want to deliver big savings for the Arena, our members and the local business community, we’ll be tracking this and reporting on it so we can monitor the positive impact it’ll have on the venue and the local area.”

Salary:  BG level 1       £8.50 per hour
BG level 2       £11.25 per hour

The successful applicant will be required to assist and lead on evening gymnastics classes.

(deputy Customer Services Manager)

USN Bolton Arena is looking for suitably qualified and experienced individuals with excellent customer service skills to be part of the Operations team.
Ideally, we are seeking individuals with first-hand experience of working in the Leisure Industry, who enjoy working as part of a team and have excellent communication skills and a good understanding of service delivery.
Duties will include general cleaning and housekeeping tasks, equipment set up and providing cover for the Customer Services Manager in their absence. Full training will be given and each of these tasks requires a high level of interaction and communication with colleagues and customers.
You will be required to work shifts including evenings, early mornings and weekends with a commitment to working flexibly to meet the needs of the service.

Salary: Meets National Minimum wage, plus enhancement to £9.23 per hour when deputising for Customer Services Manager

Hours: 3-week rota pattern, averaging 36.08 hours per week

Casual Catering Assistants

Working in the Refresh Café, the successful applicant will be required to provide an efficient, high quality service to conference, event and cafe customers maximising on all sales opportunities and ensuring full adherence to health & safety and food hygiene legislation.

Full training will be provided, and successful candidates will be required to successfully achieve Food Hygiene training.

A wide variety of shift patterns exist and will involve weekend and evening, however, there is no guarantee that work will be offered regularly.

Membership Adviser – Part Time

We are seeking a motivated, reliable and hardworking individual to join our Membership team.

Duties will include planning and executing sales activity through the use of text, e-mail, telesales, leaflet drops and outreach activities. You will also conduct face-to-face appointments, deal with telephone and ‘walk-in’ enquiries and maintain an excellent programme of after sales care and promotion of referrals, renewals and retention activity.

Successful candidates will need to be friendly, approachable and confident, possess excellent communication and negotiation skills, be computer literate and have the ability to capture and process information accurately and in a timely manner.

Ideal candidates will have experience of working in a sales role and experience of working within the leisure industry would be advantageous, although not essential as full training will be given. In addition, you should be self-motivated, able to work on your own initiative and unsupervised and possess good literacy and numeracy skills.

Sports Development Manager – Part Time (24 hours per week average)

Salary circa: £26,000, pro rata.  Fixed Term – 12 months

As part of the Sports Team you will be passionate about sport, results orientated, target driven and self-motivated. You will be accountable for the development of current and new products across a variety of sports to drive income and participation. Working closely with the Director of Sport you will be educated to degree level (or equivalent), be able to demonstrate a working knowledge of sports in the local area and have a track record in developing successful sports related projects, with a big focus on growing children’s sports.

To be considered for this post you will be an excellent communicator and influencer, have a strong background and knowledge within sport & leisure and ideally have competed at a high level in sport. This post requires an individual who is creative, has excellent planning and organisation skills and is competent in Microsoft and related packages.

The key responsibilities for this position will include:

Hours of work will be between the hours of 5-9.30pm/6-10.30pm, Monday-Thursday with a 5-8.00pm shift on Fridays. Shifts will be arranged on a 2 weekly pattern with no weekend working and we can be flexible on preferred days. It is envisaged that each role will involve working 3 of 4 evenings per week.
