Talented Eva has eye on rankings
The USN Bolton Arena’s International High Performance Tennis Centre is home to many young stars.
One of them, 18 year-old Eva Siskova, has recently enjoyed a positive run of results and is working tirelessly towards her first WTA world ranking.
Eva competed in her first block of ITF Women’s $10,000 events in August in Sharm El Sheikh, where she picked up two WTA points from three events. This means she now needs just one more point to secure her first WTA ranking – a starting point to begin developing her ranking at senior level.
She has been training at the USN Bolton Arena since September, 2013, under the guidance of Director of Tennis Suzie Riley and Academy Coach Matt Evans.
In that time, she has seen big improvements in her game, reflected this year in two British Tour titles – Graves and Swansea – as well as making her debut in Egypt at futures’ level. Here, she partnered fellow American Shelby Talcott and progressed to the doubles’ final.
Since then, Eva has completed a Winter physical block with Strength and Conditioning Coach Matt Dewhurst in preparation for an upcoming three-week tournament block in Greece. Eva will compete in three consecutive ITF $10,000 events in Heraklion.
Eva and her team have set the goal of finishing the 2015 season with her WTA singles’ and doubles’ rankings secured, ready to complete a comprehensive calendar of events in 2016 to form her first full year at senior level.
