Bolton Arena are pleased to announce a partnership with local Bolton Business Scan Computers International for a further year.
Scan Computers have been in business for over 30 years and are all about three things – technology, people and how they bring them together. Bolton Arena are delighted to renew their partnership with Bolton School who have just won the prestigious award of TES Winner Independent School of the year 2019.
Bolton School is an independent day school in Bolton, Greater Manchester. It comprises a co-educational nursery, co-educational infant school, single sex junior schools and single sex senior schools including sixth forms. With almost 2,400 pupils, it is one of the largest independent day schools in the country.
Not only is Bolton School and Independent School it is also a luxurious wedding venue.
They will be promoting the school and it’s open days via the cross-channel platform throughout the venue and online.

We are seeking a motivated, reliable and hardworking individual to join our Reception team. Responsible for delivering excellent customer service both face to face and on the telephone, you will play a vital role in the operation and promotion of the arena’s facilities and products providing an efficient reception and information service to all visitors.

Casual Arena Attendant
Working in the Operations Department, the successful applicant will be required to assist with cleaning, facility checks, setting up of equipment and other general duties on an ‘ad-hoc’ basis, as and when required.
A wide variety of shift patterns exist and will involve weekend, evening and early morning working, however, there is no guarantee that work will be offered regularly.
Weekdays: 06.30 – various finish times
14.30 / 17.30 – latest finish time 22.45
Weekends: 07.30 / 09.00 – various finish times
13.30 / 14.00 – latest finish time 20.15
Weekend working is an essential part of the role.

The first Bolton Marathon in 33 years takes place on Sunday 17th May 2020.
The Bolton Marathon was once one of the most popular and iconic marathons in the UK and now it’s back.
With a single lap, closed roads course, this is a true test of any runner’s ability. Whether you’re an experienced runner looking for that new challenge or looking for that amazing, once in a lifetime marathon – this is it!
With a full weekend of activities at the Athlete Village including a Family Fun Run and 10k, there is something for the whole family. Come and enjoy the atmosphere and be part of an amazing race!
Bolton Arena is supporting the Bolton Marathon as the ‘Official fitness facilities partner’ by offering registered athletes the opportunity to utilise the gym and running track facilities for winter training through a discounted membership offer.
The arena’s gym is equipped with fifteen Technogym Artis treadmills which offer high quality running experience giving athletes the most natural feeling. Artis Run elevates your indoor running experience. The arena also boasts a 400-metre running track free to use for gym members, giving athletes the perfect variation to their training programme.

Event details and schedule
Bolton Marathon will have a full weekend of activities for everyone to enjoy. Race registration opens on Friday 15th May 17:00 – 20:00 and Saturday 16th May 08:00 – 16:00. You will need to collect your race number, or get someone to do it on your behalf, between these times. No race numbers will be given out on race day.
Athletes Village is in Queens Park, Bolton. Bag drop will close approx. 30 minutes prior to race start. The marathon starts at 09:00. The 10k starts at 10:00.
A detailed race briefing will be sent out to athletes on the email provided at least 2 weeks prior to race day.
By taking part in the Bolton Marathon, 10k or Family Fun Run, as well as inspiring others you are also making a positive impact on the lives of many other people by taking part in a fantastic sport!

On Friday 18th October, we held a ‘Wear It Pink’ Day in order to support Breast Cancer Awareness. With all our employees wearing pink whilst making a minimum of a £1 donation to Bolton Breast Unit.
What a fantastic ‘wear it pink day’ it turned out to be! From a famous guest visitor performing his trick on Andy & Jack, which provided a very amusing incident for everyone, to a brilliant bake sale which provided a number of delightful treats for all our customers.
We’d like to thank, Mata and her Zumba class, our walking footballers, the walking sports ladies, our employees and all of our partners and customers for making the day, so enjoyable and successful.
We’re delighted to announce we raised over £640.00, which is an amazing amount. We hope you enjoyed the fun and the delicious goodies!

At the start of the year Bolton Arena staff were asked to nominate two charities to support throughout the year. Children In Need and Bolton Breast Unit were confirmed as our two nominated charities for the forthcoming year.
On Friday 18th October, Stateside Foods Bolton Arena are holding a ‘Wear It Pink’ Day in order to support Breast Cancer Awareness. Our employees will be wearing pink whilst also making a minimum of a £1 donation to Bolton Breast Unit. A cake sale will also be taking place in the café area between 11-1pm with all proceeds going towards Bolton Breast Unit. We are encouraging anyone else who comes into the Arena to partake in our ‘Wear It Pink’ Day and to kindly make a donation to Bolton Breast Unit.
On Friday 15th November we will be raising money for both Children In Need and Bolton Breast Unit in the form of a Dress Down Day, where a cake sale, staff competition and a raffle will all be taking place. All money donated will be evenly split and sent to both of our chosen charities.
Thank you to all staff members for their effort into organising the fundraisers. Be sure to keep an eye out in the future as the time has almost come to pick our chosen charities for 2020/21.”
