New Activities: Coming Soon
Are you a current member of the gym here at the Arena? Or have been in the past? Or are you a member of a different gym?
If you’re any of the above, you’ll know that there are times when your training can become boring. That’s why we introduced a range of different activities into our membership such as walking group, Couch to 5k, Bootcamp and more. All of which can be seen here.
Not content with just our current activities, we’ve decided to give you more! Over the coming weeks we’ll be introducing:
Cardio Blast – This will be a 15 minute high intensity session that will definitely get your heart racing. There will be no need to book, all you will need to do is turn up and get put through your paces by one of our instructors. The exercises will change each session to keep it interesting, so one session could be bike work and the next shuttle runs!
Advice Sessions – These sessions will take place on Saturdays and will involve an instructor being present in the free weights area throughout the morning to give out advice. So if you need some pointers on your technique or need some new exercises, come and speak to us!
Bleep Test – You might not have enjoyed it at school, but the bleep test is a great way to test yourself and set yourself some goals. We’ll be putting it on once a month in the studio.
Body Fat Testing – If you’re looking to lose weight (fat), stepping on the scales isn’t always the best way to measure your progress. This is because of the fact that a set of scales won’t account for your muscle mass. Taking a Body Fat Test will let you know what percentage of your weight is fat, from this you can accurately see how much you’re losing.
Along with the new activities we’ve also added in some new stretch sessions to go along with our 15 minute ab workouts.
We are still keeping on some of your favourite activities, but with the colder winter weather coming into play the last sessions of the year will be taking place shortly. Last dates are
- Bootcamp – Saturday 11th November, 9am – 10am
- Walking Group – Thursday 30th November 10.45am
- Couch to 5K – Wednesday 29th November
