Fabrice Higgins, My Story So Far…
I joined the GB Learning Disability squad in 2011.
I train with the performance squad who meet throughout the year as well as mytraining at USN Bolton Arena.
In November 2011, I won the GB Men’s LDNationals in Nottingham in both Singlesand Doubles, which made me British No:1in Men’s LD tennis.
In November 2012 Men’s Nationals, Iremained unbeaten in the singles for thesecond year running and retained my GB No:1 ranking.
In June this year, I was selected to play for Great Britain in the INAS World Championships in Czech Republic, where Great Britain had never won a medal before. I was playing in Singles, Doubles and the team event.
I made history after becoming the first player ever to beat the former No: 1 player, Ondrej Sedisky, from CzechRepublic in an INAS event.
After a fantastic week of tennis, I brought home 3 Gold Medals for GB, after winning the Singles, Doubles and Team event and I am now ranked No:1 in the World in Men’s LD Tennis.
