The mini tennis programme is the perfect introduction into the world of tennis for children aged 3-10 years old, to make friends, develop skills and receive expert tuition. Our philosophy ‘Discover, Enjoy, Achieve’ allows children to develop the fundamentals of tennis in a fun and enthusiastic environment. The team of qualified and extremely experienced coaches specialise in providing tuition of the highest standards and ensuring that players reach their potential. The performance mini tennis programme is recognised by the LTA as one of the best in the country, producing players of national and international level and are therefore well placed to follow a performance pathway to senior level.
Children progress through Tots, Red, Orange and Greensquads and from Level 3-1 on each ball colour. The syllabus is tailored around the tactical intentions of the game; Starting, Building, Staying & Finishing the point.
At the highest Level , Red 1, Orange 1 & Green 1 squads have coordination & dexterity physical session combined to their tennis session.
If you would like to progress your child’s development there are individual half hour and one hour sessions available. In these sessions , the expert coaching team will focus on developing your child’s technique to enable them to be more effective with their shots. Children will also learn movement patterns to cover the court more effectively and have tactical awareness to have more success with playing the game.
Children can take part in group or individual sessions. The aim of the physical programme is to develop individuals into competent, physically literate young athletes. Its an athlete centred, discovery biased programming with a habit forming ethos. We aim to create an enjoyable “want to” atmosphere that challenges and motivates the individual to achieve.
The fun part of tennis is competing, where children can be with their friends and try to put what they have learnt in lessons onto the match court.
