Big time boxing is back at Bolton Arena Print E-mail

Eighteen months after its last boxing engagement, Bolton Arena is getting ready for anotehr big fight night.

Salford's Jamie Moore defends his European light middleweight title against Sheffield's Ryan Rhodes. The fight has been given an extra edge, having also been classed an official WBC eliminator, with the winner getting a shot at a prestigious world title.

In the chief support bout of the bill, a battle of little big men see St. Helens' Gary Davies risk his British bantamweight championship against Ian Napa.

A third title see Burnley star Stuart McFadyen challenge Doncaster's Jamie McDonnell for the vacant English super flyweight title.

The Frank Maloney promoted the show will be one of the biggest boxing shows staged in Britain this year with five title fights on the card.

Co-promoter Steve Wood says "Jamie is stepping up to a big arena venue for this fight. If everything goes well, it could make Bolton Arena his stronghold for the future."

Gwyn Hughes "It's great to get big time boxing back at the Arena and we are looking forward to putting on a good show."

Tickets are now on sale from Bolton Arena on 08448 110999 and www.boltonarena.com, priced £130 (ringside), £80 (outer ringside), £60 and £40. VIP upgrades are also available, priced £30.
