COMPETITORS from all over the country flocked to the USN Bolton Arena on October 1st and 2nd to take part in the Bolton Strongman competition.
It is the second time the event has been held at the Arena and the sixth such event in the town overall. Around 100 men and women came to compete in a variety of strength challenges including shield holds, pressing car axles, vehicle pulls and deadlifts, supported by friends and family and cheered on by strongman fans from a wide area.
Mark Felix, 10 times World’s Strongest Man was on hand to meet fans and it was a real family occasion with stalls, demonstrations, games, sports and children’s activities.
Organiser Andy Seddon said the two days “went really well” and he was very happy with this year’s event and looking to build on it for the future.
