A CAPACITY crowd attended The Tanko Main Event at the USN Bolton Arena last month in an exciting British Muay Thai event.
French superstar Fabio Pinca claimed the ISKA World Title, Dakota Ditcheva won the ISKA British Championship and Panicos Yusuf defeated “Fighter of the Year” Keith McLachlan for his 24th consecutive win.
This remarkable occasion was filled with thrills, spills and just a pinch of controversy. It saw some of the greatest Muay Thai stars on top of their game, and gave supporting fighters a perfect place to showcase their talents.
From the fights to the fireworks, The Tanko Main Event was predictably explosive from start to finish – providing a memorable event for both fighters and the appreciative audience.
Commented Hannah Mooney, the Arena’s B2B and Events Manager: “It’s been fantastic having this event return to the Arena – it’s grown so much since 2014. The Fight Label are making big waves in the Thai Boxing industry so we are proud to be involved.”
THE UK’S leading Muay Thai and Kickboxing promotion returns to the USN Bolton Arena when The Tanko Main Event is held on Saturday, May 14.
The prestigious event has previously been held at EventCity in Manchester, Old Trafford LCC and Birmingham’s Barclaycard Arena and was last at the Bolton Arena in June, 2014.
Topping the bill will be an International Sport Kickboxing Association (ISKA) bout between Britain’s top welterweight Reece McAllister from County Durham and French star Fabio Pinca.
Pinca is a legend in the sport, boasting wins over most of kickboxing’s best fighters in a career spanning 120 professional fights. He is a global star in the world of combat sports and this will be his first ever appearance in England – a huge coup for event organisers.
Supporting this is the co-headlining bout between Stockport’s world champion Panicos Yusuf and another legend of the sport, Kongsak from Thailand. Kongsak is a decorated athlete and two-weight Lumpini Stadium champion with scalps over the best in the business at multiple weights. He has fought more than 250 contests and, again, is making his first appearance at the Main Event.
Numerous other top level domestic matchups support these two standout bouts, featuring fighters from all parts of the UK. The Tanko Main Event also promises an experience like no other with an advanced TV quality production setup, fireworks, dancers and corporate catered VIP table packages to give customers a full day’s experience at an event organisers anticipate will attract a crowd of between 2,000 and 2,500.
