VISITORS to the USN Bolton Arena don’t always see work in progress on the building and facilities, but work is ongoing throughout the year to maintain the facilities to its current high standards.
Over the coming year, the venue will spend almost £150,000 on repairs and maintenance. One major area of spend will be changing a large proportion of the internal and external lighting to more energy-efficient LED fittings.
There will also be repairs to the track, some minor refurbishment in some of the changing rooms as well as a programme of re-painting and re-decoration work in some of the major thoroughfares and the fitness suite.
On top of that, the Arena will spend a further £90,000 over the coming year on routine servicing and general maintenance of the building.
Over the last five years, more than £1,000,000 has been spent in ensuring that the Arena continues to provide world-class facilities and that the existing plant and equipment can cope with the footfall demands of a venue with more than 1.1 million visits a year.
