Carbon Saving Contractor Arena Addition

ONE of the latest additions to the USN Bolton Arena business village is a national contractor which specialises in energy saving and thermal efficiency building and construction works.

Hamilton Building Contractors Ltd are based in Bradford, West Yorkshire, and have now opened a North West regional office at the Arena, headed by Ian Curme who lives in Lostock.

The company is a leading specialist in external wall insulation, with a client base covering private homeowners, social landlords, local authorities and housing associations, main contractors and commercial contracts. Hamilton has vast experience working with all types of Government funding and is able to gain direct access to Energy Company Obligation (ECO) funding.

Hamilton are able to assist with the development of projects from inception to completion, at any and every stage during the process. Working alongside strategic partners, architects, engineers and designers, Hamilton design, develop and perfect a range of flexible building solutions that conform to current building regulations and energy standards as a minimum.

With projects currently active across the UK including external wall insulation for Bolton Council properties, Hamilton are working hard to help homes, communities, workplaces and the environment to become better places in which to live and work.

Its remit in creating more efficient energy use is very much in keeping with current environmental messages and its cutting-edge approach has   helped it to grow over the past few years to reach an annual turnover of £18 million.

Mr Curme said that the Arena had been a natural choice for the local base for Hamilton. “It’s perfect in its location because of its good motorway links,” he explained.

The move has also meant that the company is now recruiting to fill a couple of new posts, including a pre-construction assistant. “As I already knew the Arena well,” added Mr Curme, “it’s been particularly nice for me to come in here and meet up with some of the staff again.”
