New Sponsor Motors In

A WELL-respected Bolton motor vehicle service centre has become the latest sponsor of the USN Bolton Area.

Lostock Motor Works, based in Lynstock Way not far from the Arena, is a local Bosch car service centre with all the reliability, quality and efficiency that this name automatically means.

The business was started nine years ago by Mr Jonathan Farrimond, who has been in the motor trade for 25 years. He and Michael Ward Ltd began the company because they saw a need to improve customer service in the industry.

Lostock Motor Works has a full-time staff of six, excluding Mr Farrimond. They bring a range of expertise and experience to the business which takes special care of customers. As well as a pick-up and drop-off vehicle service and a national guarantee, the company works to Trading Standards’ codes of conduct.

Lostock Motor Works attracts clients from all over the Bolton area and beyond, offering car services and MOTs among a diverse range of vehicle services which includes servicing fleets of vans.

The company chose to become a Bolton Arena sponsor because, as Mr Farrimond explained: “We know that the Arena attracts a large number of local people of all ages – many of them drivers – and as a local company we would love to tap into this.

“The Arena is the right demographic, with the right kind of footfall and we’re looking forward to working with them.”

Parking Made Easy

THE many popular events at the USN Bolton Arena can cause parking problems for both our regular customers and event delegates.

Following a successful trial at Last November’s Cheerleading event, we will now have separate, designated event parking on BWFC car park C for all future major events. This leaves the Arena car park for our members and regular customers.

“Major events only take up 12 to 15 days a year,” explained Hannah Mooney, Events and B2B Services Manager. “But the increased traffic can put pressure on our car parks and make it more difficult for our regular customers to find a parking space.”

Hannah added that the separate, designated parking area will also benefit event delegates. “It’s only a short walk from the Arena itself,” she stated, “and, for many people, it’s a better option anyway as it saves them driving around the Arena’s car park and overspill parking area looking for a space.”
