Business Has The X Factor
A BUSINESS based at the USN Bolton Arena is celebrating the success of one of its students who has won the final of TV’s The X Factor.
Louisa Johnson beat the much-fancied singing duo Reggie & Bollie in the glitzy final to take the title, winning a recording contract and kickstarting her showbiz career.
The Essex girl is studying Performing Arts Level 2 through Urban Edge Theatre School in conjunction with the Creative Sport and Leisure company which has opened a regional office at the USN Bolton Arena.
“We’ve been following Louisa’s journey through The X Factor programme and we are absolutely delighted that she’s won,” said Dave Smith, the company’s Training Manager (North). “We not only respect her incredible talent but we’re so very proud of her.”
In fact, the national company – which works with a variety of educational and training partners to provide local communities with quality education, sporting, health and recreational activities – is planning to start Performing Arts’ courses at the Arena. “We would love to begin these courses here, hopefully during 2016,” added Mr Smith.
Louisa has been “checking in” at her college for one day a month during her time going through the various stages of The X Factor, including the judge’s houses’ segment when she stayed with mentor superstar Rita Ora.
Creative Sport and Leisure chose Bolton and the Arena for its Northern base because of the Arena’s “excellent sporting and conferencing facilities” and also because of the area’s good transport links with rail and motorway nearby.
